A conversion is not the complete business outcome
Analytics may show a form submission while the business never receives it, or a call may happen without source information. The first objective is to make the key customer actions visible and operationally reliable.
Track only what supports a decision
Not every click or scroll needs to become a KPI. Forms, relevant calls, appointment requests, candidate applications or other meaningful actions should be prioritized according to the business model.
Follow source context through the handoff
Useful attribution is lost when campaign context disappears between the landing page, form, call flow or CRM. Preserving that context helps the business compare acquisition paths with real lead quality.
Find operational gaps around the marketing
A slow response, wrong inbox, unassigned call or unclear workflow can weaken results even when acquisition is working. These are marketing-system gaps because they affect what happens to paid or organic demand.
Add spend after the weak point is understood
Once tracking and routing are reliable, increasing acquisition can be evaluated against a clearer baseline. This supports better founder decisions than simply adding budget to compensate for an invisible problem.
